Rotary Screen Repeat, Mesh & Length Guide
A nickel rotary printing screen quotation starts with three separate specification fields: length, repeat and mesh. Use this guide to distinguish the fields and prepare a clear configuration request.
01 — Length (mm)
What Does Rotary Screen Length Mean?
Length identifies the screen’s length dimension in the product specification. Merser lists this field in millimetres, with four options:
Write the selected value under Length (mm) in your enquiry. It is one part of the configuration: the repeat and mesh must be stated separately.
02 — Repeat (mm)
What Is Repeat in a Rotary Screen?
Repeat is a separate specification field used to identify the requested rotary screen configuration. In Merser’s product range, the repeat options are:
Provide this value as Repeat (mm). For example, “Length: 2650 mm” and “Repeat: 819 mm” describe two different fields in the same request. Neither value replaces the other.
03 — Mesh
What Does Mesh Mean?
Mesh identifies another selection in the screen specification. It is provided as a mesh number, separately from the length and repeat values measured in millimetres.
Include the required number under Mesh when requesting a quotation. This guide lists Merser’s available specification options; it does not assign individual mesh values to fabrics, inks or printing conditions.
04 — Keep the fields separate

Use the field names with their values. A list of numbers without labels can leave the requested configuration unclear.
05 — The available combinations
144 Screen Configurations
Merser’s four lengths, four repeat options and nine mesh options give 144 length–repeat–mesh combinations. Quantity is specified separately when you request a quotation.
The number of configurations is not a statement of stock or immediate delivery. Price, availability and lead time are confirmed when quoting.
06 — Your quotation details
How to Specify a Nickel Rotary Screen for a Quotation
For the product configuration, provide four details: Length, Repeat, Mesh and Quantity. Keep each on a separate labelled line so the requested combination is clear.
